1930-1940 fashion.
This fashion era was the time of World War 2 changing fashion in an instant. Clothing was that limited ration books were given out not just for food but for clothing too, making sure that there was enough resources to last throughout the war. Transporting Fashion goods to Britain stopped at an instant when the war started. All forms of transport in this era was used for the war making it impossible to get fashion in, leaving the imagination to the woman of the time to set new fashion trends, and how to work with a budget. So, Vogue came up with a brilliant idea making a book about how to keep your clothes fashionable and how to make them last. The book was called
'Make Do & Mend'.
